How would you experts compare prices on the M4900 and MX5000.

Also, is 4WD really worth the extra $$?

2nd that thought on the 4wd. Been there with 2wd, the difference is unbelievable and weel worth the extra $'s. especially if you plan to do any work with a FEL. The 4wd reaaly makes a difference on bite and traction.

As far aa comparing thw two tractors on pricing, there are several model options with the M4900. Make sure you are comparing tractors with similar features. The 4900 has several models to pick from, depending on your needs. ....

The 4900 has several things that make it a full featured tractor over the 5000. You do have a larger engine, full eight speed shuttle, hydraulic system by 3 gpm, larger rearend, single valve is standard, and a whole lot more that makes the 4000 dollars retail price difference shrink fast if you are going to be using it to it's fullest. ....
